Everyone in the room weeps with delight while questioning the new
arrival. "She is in a carriage in this very town on her way here!", he
exclaims, proud to present such delightful and important news.
The king looks to you. "Annabelline, go, quickly. Freshen up and prepare to meet your mother!" Great!, you think sarcastically, More to have to deal with! I thought I would be done with these royal duties until the ball. You know that more time spent as Annabelline, especially around her family, means a greater risk that you will be exposed as an imposter. You certainly don't want to get involved with this family any more than you have to. Then a thought occurs to you..... The queen has returned, which means someone has found her..and the reward for her rescue was the king's daughter, Annabelline...and right now Annabelline is.. YOU !!! You gulp, as you suddenly realize your situation. You wonder if this was part of the princess' plan from the very beginning. You may be forced to become someone's bride before the real princess comes back. If she comes back, that is. You are beginning to have your doubts.
