Yet Another Dream

The Black Void - Episode 2773

I have managed to get very little sleep over recent nights. So, since my room has already been "made up" (ie been cleaned and with fresh bed linen), I retire to it in the hope of snatching a few hours sleep. But when, after an hour or so, I eventually manage to fall asleep, I have another of my vivid dreams. Did I inadvertantly open some sort of "inward eye" at the monastery back in Artazed?

It seems that I never see anything at all comforting in these dreams. In this one I am heavily pregnant - probably close to full term. It looks as though my financial situation must be too bad for me to give up work, even at this late stage, as:

  1. I am behind the bar in an inn, pulling pints. (Well not pints, exactly, as the standard measure for ale here is a little larger than that.)
  2. I am working as a copyist. They haven't yet invented printing here, so there is a large demand for the accurate copying of legal documents and the like.
  3. I seem to be acting as a lady's maid.
  4. Of all unlikely things, I am one of a troupe of clowns in a circus, my pregnancy being played for laughs.
