A couple of days after this incident your mother comes to
pick you up after school, and drives you to an office
downtown to "meet someone". This someone turns out to be
one Dr. Hiltbock, a bald middleaged man with thick glasses
and a sinister smile. Sitting on a chair in front of his
tidy desk, you get a feeling that he can see right through
you.
"Nice to meet you, Carol," he says as he leans forward over the desk to shake your hand. "I am Doctor David Hiltbock. You can call me Dave." Something about the way he says it makes you shiver - or is it what he said? You are pretty good at word puzzles, so it only takes a few seconds to figure it out. Dave Hiltbock. It's an anagram. An anagram of "The Black Void"!
