I expect the children to run, I expect them to scream, I expect them to
hide, I expect them to do anything other than what they’re about
to do.
Their shocked expressions turn firm and rigid, and at nearly the same time, they all reach into their pockets and pull out different firearms. I recognize some of the guns as standard pistols. Others I can recognize as a shotgun of some sort, although I don’t know it’s exact name. A boy in the far back was even wielding a mini-machine gun. ”Putch your hands in the air, slave!” Squeaks a boy who closest to me, who appears no older than 7. As he orders this, he shakes his black pistol straight at my face. He appears to be around three feet tall and dawns a green uniform and had buzzed, pale, white hair. Normally, I would find an immature boy trying to sound macho humorous, but giving the conditions, it just wasn’t very funny. I could less by his tone, but more by his glaring, rock-hard eyes that this was no joke. When I have my hands up, he uses his free hand to grab a walkie-talkie from his pocket. ”Captin, this is...a...Groop R, U net 44-...I mean 454 Berry.” He recites, unfailing to mispronounce many words. We have located one of the escapees and are awaiting your orders.” A gruff voice muffles out some hard to understand words (The only words that I was able to catch were “Target” and “Forces”). The small boy nods. “It will be done” he answers and puts the radio back in his pocket.”New-ter-all-eyes the targit” says the boy in the front carfully. “Try to bring her back a live. Use any force neh-es-seh-sary.” The boy then looks at me. “Are you going to come quietly, or are we gong to have to hurt you?” I scroll through my options. They’re only little boys. They might be easy to pursue to let me go. Then again, the window is still open behind me. I could make a break for it and pray that they won’t shoot me. Oh, but I’m so tired!
