The Black Void - Episode 1466

Patty's rambling mess of an island, kept running by a legion of hired help, was abandoned.
Jacques went straight for the servant's quarters. He knew where it is because his kids (oh God, let them be okay) were good friends with the kids of the head butler, Alexander Fluffingkits.
Everything was abandoned.
But at least there was nothing *new*. All the buildings were where they were supposed to be.
Jacques decided to go to the communications system, stored in an old tool shed. Alexander had shown him the emergency part, one sunny day while their kids played handball against some younger maids.
A simple red lever, underneath a four pane window. Pull it and all communication channels would be blasted with an S.O.S.

  1. The lever was pulled. Jacques heard the radios crackle to life.
  2. The lever would not move.
  3. The lever was gone.
  4. Jacques touched the lever and felt pain. It had been rigged with a ... tranq... falling. Darkness.
  5. Someone had carefully uninstalled the entire emergency communication system.
  6. Alexander Fluffingkits was sprawled under the lever, bleeding and moaning. Jacques pulled it, then tended to Alexander.
