But more importantly, he sees what is in the lifeboat. Scottie! The small dog barks in joy at seeing a familar face. He leaps into Jacques' arms and slobbers on him for several moments. He then wriggles back out and runs off ten feet before turning and barking. Jacques, who owned every single Lassie episode on DVD, understood perfectly. He followed the dog for a short distance before realizing they were headed straight for the mysterious seventh house. He stops in fear.
Scottie literally tugs on Jacques' leg.

  1. Pick up the dog and take him back to the lifeboat.
  2. Follow the dog.
  3. A minutes worth of theivery gets the one gun on the island, a pistol belonging to the retired police chief. Jacques, his unofficial island deputy, had been trained to fire it.
  4. The front door of the seventh house is knocked clear off it's hinges. Something comes screaming out. Most of it is on fire. And spitting blood.
