You and Me

I am surprised to find you in the restroom. No, not you the reader. Not even you the writer. It's hard to explain without breaking the fourth wall, so I won't bother trying.
There are many stories told here, some in first person. I am obviously the female protagonist of one of them. There are other stories told in second person, and you are the male protagonist of one of those. There are also stories told in third person, but let's not get into that.
Let it suffice to say that I somehow realize that you are one of the characters branching off from "You are Male". Apparently you have had the same idea as I and tried to retrace your steps.
As I start talking to you, I realize that you are

  1. the guy from the subway station in chapter 36.
  2. Julius Book (!) from chapter 37.
  3. the medieval (anti)hero from chapter 38.
  4. the fellow in the genetic lab in chapter 39.
  5. the kid in the zoo from chapter 40.
  6. someone else who hasn't picked his path yet.
