Since he had such a lousy short-time memory, Sir Toby quickly forgot that he had ever met himself in that dark corner of the Southern Caves deep under the mountain.

After walking for a while, Sir Toby spotted a small piece of cheese on the ground. He could see several other pieces of cheese forming a trail along the floor of the dark tunnel. A little way ahead he could see the tunnel forking. The cheese trail continued into the left tunnel.

  1. He followed the cheese trail.
  2. He picked up the first cheese and ate it.
  3. This looked like a trap. Sir Toby took the right tunnel.
