There were three bandits, scruffy, aged and not looking very sane or very
healthy.
There was a chase.

The bandits were defeated with stout tree branches and a level of cleverness usually reserved for getting children into bed.

Unfortunately the trio were just cannon fodder for a larger group. Our two protaganists are soon literally netted.

A giant boulder falls out of the sky on the bandits. Seems a paticularly stupid God has taken an interest in the plot, endangering all reality.

The bandits are avoided with little trouble.
