"Gee, thanks," muttered Stacy sarcastically. "That's very..." But she
broke off in surprise as the featureless whiteness ahead of them blurred,
dissolved into a gray mist, and parted to reveal a massive black castle.
It was huge, dark, and broody, and arguably there were a few hundred too
many gargoyles carved into it. It looked far too much as if it
belonged in a bad horror movie. "The style is early maniac," Betty-1 murmured under her breath, obviously quoting something. The other Betty chuckled nervously. The Master merely stood there and sneered at it for a moment, expressing with non-verbal eloquence just how lacking his expert opinon of proper Evil Bad Guy style found the structure. Melissa raised her tiny arm and pointed to it. "There," she said in her own (albiet much diminished) voice. "Come." And she began walking forward once more. Betty-2 sighed. "I've got a bad feeling about this," she said. But they all feel into step after Melissa, nevertheless, and marched straight up to the massive, forbidding wooden doors.
