Is Old Gek To Be Trusted?

What was to stop him, once she and Fred had led the goblins through the Entrance, from killing them and taking Fred's money? Or even selling them into slavery in their own (Fred and Astra's) world? From what Old Gek had said, it sounded as though the multiversal exchange rate might make that very profitable. She was pretty sure that she and Fred would fetch far more than thirty gold sovereigns.
