"Perhaps you're right that it was an accident, ma'am," the cop said. "But there's another matter, namely that you yourself are wandering around topless. This is supposed to be a story that is suitable for kiddies to read. So we're going to have to take you in."

"But that's ridiculous," Astra protested. "I don't choose to be topless. It's just that a malign fate seems to want me never to be fully clothed."

"Take me in as well," Josh begged the cops, remembering that if they didn't he would still be stuck in the Staircase Room. "I groped her deliberately, whatever she says."
