Lost!

"This isn't good," Astra said. "We don't want to spend any more time in the caves than we absolutely have to. Though the dragon is dead, I am sure that there are many other dangerous creatures still infesting this labyrinth of passages. And you, Fred, are the only one out of the four of us who is armed or armoured - or even clothed, come to that."

"And my sword is badly notched," Fred said ruefully.

"If you lack faith in it, then you could give it to me and rely on your dagger instead," Astra suggested. "It would be better for us to have two people each armed with one weapon than one person with two."

1. Fred agreed to give his sword to Astra.
2. Fred wanted to keep his sword, but he let Astra have his dagger.
3. Fred was unwilling to part with either weapon.
4. Before Fred could reply, they entered another cavern and encountered the necromancer Belboz (whom they haven't previously met in this branch of the story).
