The Never Ending Quest - Episode 9691

The monster's head went flying. The other nearby monsters fell the dark
shapes and flashing weapons.As the last drop of demon blood spattered to
the floor stones, Fred got a good look at his rescuerers. "The Gang!" he cried out in relief. It wasn't their official name, they didn't even have one, but the newspapers had to call them something. They were five beings of enormous power, blessed with luck, intelligence, cunning and the astonishing abillity to succeed in really stupid plans. They had been roaming the countryside for years now, in a green and maroon self-propelled cart, righting wrongs, chasing off monsters and doing what needed to be done in town after dramatic town. Since they were mostly an Allarian phenom (much like the red-suited blind man of the Floating Isles), Fred gave the introductions as the entire group retreated to safer ground. The leader, clad in white armor and carrying the legendary sword 'Snicker- Snack' was called Frederigo, much like Fred's real name. He was rumoured to be extraordinarily self-centered and egotistical but not enough to intefere with the fighting. The two women, a red-head and a brunette, rarely spoke, preferreing to let their unending supply of arrows speak for them. They were named Diffnestia and Verlun, respectively. The red-head dressed in expensive but durable purple clothing, indicating great wealth. The lanky, bearded man was referred to in the darker corners of wizardy as 'Shigger'; it was told he had stumbled upon the darker secrets of hell in an effort to perfect the perfect recreational drug. In fact, the fifth companion of the group, Bone-Crusher, was a hell-hound from the deepest realms of the Afterlife and quite clearly, smarter then the entire group put together. It is not known why the hellhound chose to work on the side of good; what Fred had heard and dared not share with anyone, anywhere, was that Bone-Crusher was fed an innocent baby once a year; in return he slaughtered horrific beasts. Anywho, the group ended up hiding in the broom closet.
