Weirdness

But her musing was cut short when something very strange occurred. She started to see black spots. These rapidly increased in number and size until she could see nothing at all. At the same time, she could no longer feel the floor beneath her bare feet.

These strange effects abruptly ceased. She had normal vision once more and could feel the floor again. But in the brief time that she had been blinded, her surroundings had mysteriously changed. She still appeared to be in a sickbay, but it was smaller and - so far as she could judge - seemed to be less well equipped. The injured woman was still at her feet. She was groaning, suggesting that she might be coming round.

1. They were now in the same ship in an alternative reality where technology wasn't quite so advanced. (Not that Exotica knows what has happened, of course.)
2. They had been teleported to another ship.
3. They had gone back in time by a hundred years or so.
