"I'd like to come with you," Fred said. "But you're going to need some
warm clothing. There's snow on the higher slopes."
"I know. I've searched the barn, but haven't found anything. I thought
that after it got dark and everyone had gone to bed I would try to break
into the farmhouse and steal something."
"I noticed some supply sheds behind the barn. I don't suppose there's
much risk of my being seen if I just pop outside and take a quick look at
what's inside them. If anyone does spot me, I'll pretend that I'm
a
newly arrived farmhand."
"Thanks."

Five minutes later Fred returned carrying a leather apron. "This was all that I could find. My guess is that the vetinarian would wear it when helping a cow to give birth, but it's clean. It will help with decency, but not much with warmth, I'm afraid."

Ten minutes later, Fred returned empty-handed. "Sorry," he said. "Lots of oats and hay, a plough, some harnesses and a saddle for a horse, but no clothes."
