Fred wondered if she was making fun of him. "Uh, don't feel that you have to wear the gown on my account," he said. "Please take it off if you would feel more comfortable."

1. Apparently not abashed in the slightest, the maiden takes off the gown.
2. "I can't do that while you are here," she says. "It wouldn't be proper." Though disappointed, Fred reflects that considering how thin the gown is and how it clings to her, it isn't really concealing much.
3. "I'll take it off, but only if you will strip too," she says. "You must be boiling in that armour."
