Amnesia Epidemic

"Surely you must have heard. It's been all over the news today. Apparently something like five per cent of the population is suffering from total amnesia. And that's probably an underestimate, as it's just the ones who have gone to a doctor. There could be lots more people who haven't told anyone."

Stacy somehow felt a little better knowing that she was not the only one. "So do the authorities know what's causing it?"

"Not so far. Or if they do, they aren't letting on."

1. Ellen went on: "But one of the guests that we've booked is a ufologist who claims that it's the work of aliens. Nonsense of course, but he should be entertaining."
2. Stacy decided to come clean. "You should know that I'm one of the victims, if that's the right word."
3. "So what items are we going to have concerning the story?" Stacy asked. "What story? Who am I talking to?" Uh-oh! Looks like Ellen herself is the latest victim.
