With medicine the way it is in this day and age, all women spent much of
their free time studying it. It was common for mothers to pass on secret
herbs and spices to their daughters as soon as they could. The men, they
rambled about chopping off limbs and closing the windows so the night
spirits wouldn't make them sick. The women carefully researched wheat grass
and Folsorm trees in the cool, dry storage cellars and saved dozens of
lives by sneaking on germ killing coolant cream onto the bandages. So anyway, with four females on hand (Vix had re-learned a lot in the past few months) nobody quite panicked at the labour.
