We Hate it When Our Friends Become Successful

Around 9:45, a guest walks up to the front desk. "Hey, were you aware that there's a cat in here?"
"A cat?" asks Eddie.
"Yeah, there's a cat in the hallway, and he's lounging in front of the door to the pool. How did he get in here?"
"I know what you're talking about, sir. Let me handle it," Eddie says, leaving the front desk and walking around the corner.

Sammy the cat is busy nuzzling another hotel employee who had approached him when Eddie was preoccupied.

"Sammy's here!" Eddie says.
"Yeah, time for his nightly swim," says the other employee, as he opens the door to the pool."

1. Whee! Splash.
2. Wait a minute. Cats hate water!
3. The hotel guest is enraged that the Marriott staff is allowing a cat to swim.
