The beasts on the sand force Fred to seek shelter in the bizarre city.
He finds a wide linen closet. He braces it from the inside and curls up on purple blankets with white stripes. Fortunately someone had left chocolate in a jacket hanging on the door...
Fred slept for five hours.

  1. Nothing much had changed.
  2. Smaller versions of the beasts had entered the building.
  3. He heard an accented voice crying out 'Fezzik! Fezzik!'.
  4. He heard a young man say 'Scott Chen! AND Scott Childers! Oh god, just one of you morons is bad enough'.
  5. The linens were all different colors.
  6. He heard singing.
  7. The door was open.
