Belboz Tries to Shift the Blame

"Discomfort? I'll show her what discomfort really is. But first to see to you."

Fred said no incantation nor made any visible gesture, but suddenly Belboz was naked and chained up next to Astra.

"Now to your punishment," Fred said, turning to Astra. "I was going to remove your chastity belt in the morning, but now you will be wearing it indefinitely. This time the lock will be proof against anyone's attempts at tampering. And I'm going to make one further alteration."

The chastity belt reappeared on Astra. Though it looked just the same as before, instead of weighing about ten pounds it now weighed almost three times as much. Astra gasped.

"Let that be a lesson to you," Fred said. "I expect loyalty and obedience from my wife-to-be."

1. With that he vanished. "It could have been a lot worse," Belboz remarked.
2. "But that's not enough punishment," he added. "Something more is called for."
