"W-what?" the lioness stutters. "But I could have sworn he was as dead as a doornail!"

"Well, this certainly doesn't taste like the hereafter, if you catch my drift," Lots42 remarks dryly as he keeps spitting into the sink.

"Well, we are in the Staircase Room," Vixen Sara points out, reaching for the mouthwash. "Besides this is Lots42. He's an author and even more immortal than Josh and Scott put together."

"You're not making any sense!" Lioness Sara blurts. "People can't be immortal, and they certainly can't be more immortal!"

They stare at each other in silence.

"I take it you've never been to the Staircase Room before?"
