Being the only man killed in the first contact with alien life, Second Lt.
Crave Henderson becomes internationally famous. The Senate authorizes a
memorial to him to the east of the Washington Monument. It is a tasteful
oval on a black rectangle, with his name at the top. "Always brave", it read, a fitting tribute for Henderson had in fact gone into the water seventeen times on ten different rescue missions, saving six lives personally and stopping a ship full of explosives from damaging vital sea walls.
