The Moving Eyes

Panicking a little, Andrea decided to remove the painting and then rehang it so that it faced the wall. If she could not manage to rehang it, for it was large and probably heavy, then she would put it face down on some flat surface.

1. She managed to lift down the painting.
2. But as she reached to lift down the painting, the man in it spoke to her!
3. But as she touched the portrait, she felt something akin to a shock from static electricity (the only kind of electricity that she knew of) and recoiled.
4. But as she touched the portrait, she felt herself being drawn into it!
5. But just as she reached to lift down the painting, the door on the other side of the room opened. "Do not touch that!" a voice from behind her said.
