Monkey Skulls

"They are similar in shape to human skulls, though," Astra said. "Perhaps they are monkey skulls. They must be very old, judging by the way some are starting to crumble a little. That doesn't help with the mystery of why someone would put them in a chest, though. I wonder if there's anything more useful to us hidden underneath them."

So saying, she reached down and removed one of the skulls.

"I'm not sure if that was wise," Fred said. "Perhaps they are cursed. That might explain why somebody wanted to keep them safe."

"I wish you'd thought of that earlier," Astra remarked. "Oh well, it's too late to worry now that I've handled one, so I may as well remove the rest and see if anything is underneath them."

3. The skulls were cursed, and Astra starts to feel the effects.
