"That's not a problem!" said Stacy, thinking that, with the amount of money she had, a plane ticket to LA was no obstacle at all. "I could go out there and see him. Do you think you could put me in touch with him?"

"I don't see why not." He looked at his watch. "Hmm, it's not too late, and I'm sure he'd be fascinated by this. Come to my office, why don't you, and I'll give him a call."

Stacy readily agreed to this, and followed him to his office (which was just down the hallway). But as he was reaching for the phone, it rang. He picked it up with a slight look of surprise, listened for a moment, and said:

1. "How about that? I was just going to call you!"
2. "Susan! How are you? Will they be releasing you soon?"
3. Nothing, but his face grew very pale.
