Rumours can spread fast. And sometimes a rumour even turns out to be
true. The four teenagers had heard that they and their fellow townspeople
were going to be sent back to Allaria. But they didn't want to go
back. Living in a small town way out in the sticks wasn't a lot of fun.
There was almost nothing in the way of entertainment for the young. Also
things had been getting increasingly weird recently, thanks to Reaibn. So
they decided that they would rather try to make a life for themselves in
Aqualaria. It was supposed to be a wealthier country than Allaria, and to
young people it also held the appeal of the new. They were all orphans,
thanks to a plague that had struck five years before, so they didn't have
any parents to worry about. So they slipped away from the home where they
had been billeted and headed deeper into Aqualaria.
Meanwhile the commander was getting increasingly worried. Of course, there was a chance that Reaibn wouldn't notice such a small number of absentees, but with the amazing power that he had demonstrated she couldn't be sure of that.
