Hrothgar will arrive here and, if we do not give him our prettiest maiden to do with as he wants, will embark on an orgy of rape and pillage. Noone in the kingdom would be safe.

The mage further explains that the only chance of beating the beast, that is Hrothgar, is for that maiden to slay him. She would be able to get closer to him as his bride than anyone else and that is why a knight was transformed.

As and aside he mentioned that the only problem was that the longer you stayed in your female form, the more you would believe it to be your only natural form. In fact after ten days you would indeed believe that you hold always been a pretty girl and would forget your quest.
