"We need to find fresh water soon, so we can refill the waterskin," Fred
said as they proceeded on their way. "Sooner or later we are going to
need food, as well. We can't walk all the way to Aqualaria without
eating."
"If we have to walk all the way, I'm not sure that we are going to make it. We are going to have around a couple of hundred sores by the time we reach the border. Not only will the slower journey mean we'll need to apply the ointment about three times as often, but also because we'll have more sores we'll have to use more of it on each application. I think that we'll run out well before we can reach Aqualaria. I don't like it, but we are going to have to steal some horses. We'd better wait till after dark, and then the next village or farmstead we reach we'll see if we can get horses and food... Shit! My latest sore is on the back of my neck, right where my collar rubs."
