Meanwhile, in Jarlath's cave, dawn was breaking. Lady Andrea Croix had
woken up. Andrea looked out the cave entrance. Jarlath was still sleeping.
She could leave the cave now, if she wanted to. She didn't want to go on
his journey, and wasn't sure why she had followed him in the first place.
And yet... She couldn't just discount everything he had said. He seemed to know a lot about her past and present that he wouldn't normally know, so she decided that he could very well know about her future, too. If it was true what he said, she had to go with him. Andrea sat down. "It's a good thing you decided not to leave, Andrea," came Jarlath's voice from behind her. He was awake. ~~I should have suspected as much,~~ thought Andrea. "Today," said Jarlath, "we embark for the mountains. Prepare yourself, Andrea."
