"So, which bit of the wedding do you want to plan first?" Belboz said
irritably. "The ceremony or the reception?"
Astra was about to reply that she didn't want to plan either. But Fred might well still be listening, so she caught herself, instead saying: "The ceremony, I suppose." "Religious or secular?" Belboz snapped. "Fred has told me that he is happy to go along with your wishes." "Secular." If it was a secular ceremony, she could tell herself that she wasn't really married, which would make her feel a little better. "How many guests will you have?" "None. I don't know anyone in Caemlyn or anywhere in the neighbourhood, as far as I'm aware." "Fred has said that he would be happy to transport here by magic anyone from Aqualaria that you wanted to be present. At least your parents and siblings surely ought to attend." "Can he really do that?" "It's hard to believe, I know, but he evidently thinks that he can." Astra paused, rather expecting that remark of Belboz's to provoke a response from Fred. When none came, she concluded that he was no longer listening to their conversation. No doubt he had other things to attend to. "I think he's stopped listening," she said. "So about this Eye thingy. Why can't I just snatch the necklace from him?"
