Astra hadn't expected Fred to be able to speed things up quite that much. She now rather regretted having said what she had. Sure, she had hopefully distracted Fred's attention from Edward, but it had shortened the amount of time that she had to play with. Though a few hours probably wouldn't make that much difference. By the time Edward could reach Themyscira, the Aqualarian capital, and inform Astra's mother, and a rescue party could be despatched and reach Caemlyn, the better part of two weeks was likely to have elapsed.

If Fred had the power to transport her through space, then why hadn't he done so earlier? Had he just been toying with her? Or were his powers still increasing? Or perhaps he was still learning about them?

Trying to think of a ruse by which she could delay her impending matrimony, Astra walked through the castle gates. They closed behind her, with a "clang" which to her seemed to have a disturbing hint of finality about it.

  1. Fred was waiting for her, a crown on his head and a strange jewel, that somehow rather reminded Astra of an eye, hanging from a chain round his neck.
  2. Fred was evidently wasting no time. As she walked through the gates, her clothes transformed into a wedding dress.
