A Friend on the Road

"I'm fleeing the country, and I strongly advise you to do the same. I have all of my possessions that I could salvage behind me in the cart. I see that you're heading towards Caemlyn, so you won't know what it's like there. Lord Frederigo D'Honaire has taken over the country, and he has gone totally insane. He also seems to have acquired enormous magical powers. I don't know what's happened to him. He used to be a thoroughly good sort."

"I wish that I could do as you suggest, for I left Caemlyn just a few hours ago and know what things are like there, but unfortunately I cannot. I have to go back."

"But that's madness!"

"Yes it is, but not mine."

1. Astra explains her situation.
2. "Well if your mind is made up..." He reluctantly bids her farewell and goes on his way.
3. Abruptly Edward's demeanour changes. Fred has possessed him, as he has thought of something else that he wants to tell Astra.
