"I'm sorry to interrupt you at such a tense moment," comes a deep, rumbling voice.

Turning to look in the direction the voice has come from, Fred and Ondrya are startled to see the dragon standing in the entrance to the cave. He must have approached remarkably silently for such a large and heavy creature.

Ondrya flies up higher, her spear in her hand, while Fred draws his sword. "So the message on the wall was wrong," he says.
