Evil Eye

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 9219

Suddenly, a voice came from the eye! "Hello, Doctor," it said. It was the Master's voice.

"The Master," said the Doctor. "Just as in Fred's dream."

"Yes," said Ragan, "but if he's really the Master from the TV- movie, why does he have the voice of the version we fought?"

"That's a good question," said the Doctor. "Apparently, whatever he is now, he has the power to assume what voice he chooses. Or perhaps, it's not really the Master at all. In any case, we'll just have to wait and see."

"I am indeed the Master," said the voice from the Eye, "and you will soon see what I have in store."

A light came over the eye, and expanded, forming a hole in the eye that showed the rest of the face of the Master, then formed a man-sized hole in the Eye, through which the Master stepped. He was holding a book in his hand. It appeared very ancient, and seemed somehow malevolant. Astra recognized it immediately. "That's the Necronomicon!" she said, startled. "I had heard tales of it, but never thought I would actually see it."

"What's that?" said Betty.

"I've heard about it, too," said Fred. "The Necronomicon is a very ancient spellbook. It's sentient, and evil. It feeds on the evil desires in its current owner's mind, amplifies them, and uses it to control them."

"And there are few minds more evil than the Master's," said the Doctor. "So," he addressed the Master, "what do you want with me? Why aren't you trying to kill the Doctor in your own universe?"

"Ah, but I am," said the Master...

  1. Meanwhile, in another TARDIS...
