Ignoring the cow for now, Fred runs back out to see if blowing the volcano had any other effect. Indeed, it had, for he discovers a hitherto undiscovered passage! Fred peers down the passage, and finds it to be refreshingly cool: a drastic change from the lava-filled rooms he's been roaming around in!
Fred moves forward into the passage, drawing his cloak around him. As he walks, it gets colder and colder, chilling him to the bone. He notices some ancient runes on the wall, which he recognizes as belonging to the dead language of the Ice Kingdom, a lost underground world which he had somehow managed to stumble into. Although his moustache is completely frozen up and has little icicles hanging from it, Fred still manages a smile. The Ice Kingdom was home to a famous artifact: Frostblade, a legendary sword known for its prowess against dragons. Fred knows he has to find Frostblade and hurries forward, anxious to find shelter. In the nick of time, he finds a door carved in one of the cave walls. Rushing in, he finds himself face-to-face with:
