The Never Ending Quest - Episode 91321

During the conversation over dinner Fred's mother had mentioned that she was a skilled midwife. so that if in the future Astra should marry Fred and become pregnant (and she had to admit that she was falling in love with him) it was logical that she would move into the De Honaire family home. That was the only recent thing that made sense to her, though. There had been a chain of very strange events. First she and Fred had been transported to a luxurious bedroom [239], then a note had told them that they had been sent there to keep them safe, [911] and then a closet which had only been supposed to contain supplies had somehow led into Fred's bedroom back home. [12043]

Her musing was interrupted when she heard a noise. Though it seemed unlikely that there could be danger here, she readied herself just in case. But it was only Fred, also dressed in a nightshirt and also in search of some water to drink. Astra told him about her vision (though she didn't mention that she thought that she was falling in love with him).

When she had finished, Fred looked worried. He said:

  1. "I should have told you about the old legend that there's a curse on this house, but I believed that it was nonsense. It's said that any woman of child-bearing age who isn't a member of the De Honaire family will become pregnant if she stays the night.
  2. "That wasn't a vision set in six months time or more, but of the much more immediate future. Look!" He pointed at Astra's belly, which had begun rapidly to swell and was starting to tent out her nightshirt.
  3. Something else.
  4. Actually, before he could say anything Astra said: "Fred, please don't look so worried. I love you and I want to have your baby." "Isn't this a bit sudden?"
