As Ned prepared to serve Scott Childers tainted coffee, he flashed back to
nearly nine years ago, when he spent a wonderful year in New York City,
made all the more special by his eight month whirlwind romance with an
attractive young woman named Stefani. Stefani was just as passionate
about pursuing a career in music as she was when it came to Ned. She was
the only one who could seemingly make all of Ned's demons fade away. It was a great eight months, but Stefani had to move on. Success was this close to her reach, and Ned was deeply hurt when she broke it off. Hurt enough to immediately leave the Big Apple and return back home to the midwest. Stefani eventually evolved into the pop juggernaut Lady Gaga, and became massively famous around the world, selling millions of records and pleasing her little monsters worldwide. Ned could tolerate hearing her music being played nearly nonstop on the radio, but he was still somewhat irritated that Gaga will not return his frequent phone calls.
