A Modicum of Sanity is Restored

Not quibbling about the extreme brevity of this version of the marriage ceremony, Fred and Astra kissed long and passionately. The Ghost tactfully disappeared through a nearby rock wall.

Eventually the two lovers had to come up for air. "Were we really just married?" Fred asked. "By a ghost who claimed to be the Defiler of Worlds?"

"Yes. I think we must both have been temporarily insane. I suppose being in the presence of such a being might cause that. But I truly do love you."

"And I truly love you too. But I don't think that our marriage would hold up in a court of law. We'll have to get wed 'properly' at some point."

"I suppose so," Astra said.

1. They resume their search for the dragon.
2. They consummate their union.
3. Being married by Skhgzzzshnrghk of the Howling Void, the Defiler of Worlds, was never likely to turn out well...
4. Just before proouncing them wed, the Ghost had transformed Fred's and Astra's attire into clothes suitable for a wedding.
