(Author's Note: Looks like my episodes 42529 and 45256 aren't able to
be linked to from other episodes, which makes the choice you just clicked
on look misleading. So, without having to copy and paste two six-year-old
episodes, we'll sum things up in a few sentences, give or take.
For those of you scoring at home, or even if you're all by yourself, the
story so far: Scott goes to visit a female friend named Krissy while her
boyfriend Roger is out of town. There is mutual attraction between the
two, so the night's planned activity of watching a movie or two is
probably designed to delay the inevitable at least until 30 minutes before
the closing credits. Scott and Krissy slowly get comfortable, cozy, and
then start flirting hardcore before they finally give in and start making
out, which quickly leads to them both going to bed. After the eagle has
landed, Scott and Krissy both lie awake, pretending to sleep, but trying
to make sense of what just happened. This is where the story picks up,
without things getting derailed...)
Neither Scott or Krissy got much sleep that night. Scott can remember
seeing 4:17 on the clock before he finally dozed off, while Krissy took
even longer to finally get to sleep, thanks to an anxious Sammy the cat,
who kept pacing back and forth on the bed, as if he definitely knew
something wasn't right here.
By eleven the next morning, Scott and Krissy were awake, but they hadn't
gotten out of bed. It seems like the sleep they did get calmed their
nerves about what had happened last night.
"So, Scott, did you have fun last night?" Krissy asks.
"Of course, I did. I guess the question that I need to ask you is, how
long did it take you to get to sleep? I kept hearing you toss and turn
all night after we got done doin' the do."
"It took a while, yeah. Sammy wouldn't sleep, and I was thinking about
stuff. I mean, you already knew that he and I haven't been intimate in
quite a while, and he's always going off on his business trips every other
week, leaving me here by myself."
"You don't think he's got someone out on the road, do you?"
"I wouldn't be surprised. Roger can be really secretive sometimes, like
the time when he leaves the apartment to take a phone call or text
someone. I'm not one to snoop on someone's phone, but there's something
pretty weird going on with him."
"Well, Krissy, how do you feel about what happened with us a few hours
ago? This isn't going to make things more complicated, are they? God, I
hope not."
"Scott! I had a blast last night. I mean, I do feel kind of guilty right
now, but...well, I don't know. I'm sort of feeling a mixture of euphoria
and guilt right now."
"You do know about my past with all of the womanizing, and how I have
slept with women who were in relationships, or even married before.
Krissy, you were the first woman who I'd ever gone to bed with that was
already taken that I felt guilty about it. Don't get me wrong, I really
do like you a lot, but I don't want to ruin things this soon. Maybe we've
gone too far, and maybe we haven't. See? This is what kept me up so late
last night!"
Krissy laughs. "Don't worry, me too!"
A few minutes later...
-
They both agree that what happened in that bedroom stays in that bedroom.
-
"Scott, do you think I'd make an awesome girlfriend? Just wondering." Krissy asks.
-
Roger comes back home sooner than planned.
-
Josh Burbank shows up, having recovered from his grenade death quite well, thanks for asking.
