Sir Josh was not sure what was going on, not exactly, but he knew the Devil wanted his cooperation. Sir Josh disagreed. He punched the nearest demon in the eyeball and ran.
Sir Josh was full of heroic determination and the willingness to resist evil. This got him far.

  1. But not far enough.
  2. A film noir angel in a trenchcoat (most mystical good guys wore trenchcoats) helped get Sir Josh home.
  3. Sir Josh has to punch a lot more demons. But since he was motivated by his purity of heart, his willingness to resist evil and high quality shoes, this worked.
