  1. She deftly reached over and removed the ladder, leaving the midget no way down.
  2. The midget fired a warning shot. The recoil knocked him down to the floor.
  3. The midget tipped his bowler and asked politely: "Excuse me Miss, do you know where I may buy some ammunition for this gun?"
