Three Against One

Robert, who had gone to look out a window on the other side of the room, yelled, "Hey! There's another ship! And it's bigger than the first one... Well, at least I think it is. It's kind of hard to tell in space. No, wait! Two more!"

Stacy's voice was as excited as Robert's. "And this one's broken out of the beam and is dodging around. Either they didn't get all of the crew, or somehow our friends have grown wise to that little transporter tirck."

"And although one of those ships might not be a threat, I bet three of them are," said Robert. "That would explain the alarms, I guess. Well, I have no idea where these guys came from, but I say, Go Aliens!"

Stacy smiled at him. "All right," she said. "But what do we do now? Stay here? Try to find a life pod or something and escape? Go find the bridge or the control room or whatever and try to find out what's going on?"

"Well," said Robert, "I..." But before he could finish:

1. the walls around them began to glow.
2. the ship lurched heavily, throwing them to the floor.
3. one of the enemy aliens showed up at the door to the chamber.
