Looking more closely at the photo, and then at her own reflection in a
mirror, Stacy realised that it was even stranger than she had thought at
first. If you ignored the differences in hair styles and make-up, the
five young women seemed not merely to resemble her but to be identical!
Surely she couldn't have been one of sextuplets? She supposed that, given
her amnesia, she couldn't rule it out. Or maybe one of the girls in the
photo was her, with a different hair style, and she was only one of quins?
An even more unsettling possibility occurred to her. Could she somehow have been cloned? Or, even worse, might she not be the original but just one of the clones? Perhaps that was connected to her amnesia in some way? As if that wasn't enough to worry about, there was also that sample of apparently extraterrestrial blood that she had given her friend Paula to analyse. Just then there was a knock on the door, and Stacy went to answer it. The woman on the other side - presumably Dr Paula Bruder - was an inch or two shorter than Stacy, with bright red hair and a crooked, friendly smile. Stacy liked her immediately. [Borrowed from 6828 - even though that isn't in the direct back-story I figured life would be easier if her appearance was the same.]
