Fred stared into the mirror in shock. He--or rather, she--was now a diminutive girl, not even four feet tall and weighing about fifty-five pounds, at the very most. Her soft blonde hair fell to her shoulder blades, or would have if it had not been held back with a long pink ribbon. Her knightly armor had been replaced with a pale pink dress that frilled out at the bottom.

Fred slowly looked up at Belboz, who was smirking, obviously very pleased with himself. "Thus begins your new life, my little former knight," he declared. "You won't be killing that dragon or meddling in my plans after all."

  1. "You will instead remain in this weak form, and be raised by a nice family in a village very, very far from here."
  2. "Instead, you will be adopted by one of Queen Jastina's ladies-in-waiting, and will become a lady-in-waiting yourself one day."
  3. "In fact, I do not know what you will do. But I wish you luck as you begin anew, without any weapons, supplies, or memory."
  4. "But the dragon would like to see you, anyway."
