"All right," Fred says. "Well I've been saving myself for the right girl, so you can use my toenails. Um, when you say 'toenails' I take it you mean toenail clippings? Having my toenails torn off would be incredibly painful."

"Yes, clippings are all I need. Does anyone have a set of toenail clippers? Or even a sharp knife? I don't think that wooden sword of yours is going to work, Fred." [1927]

1. Sir Josh produces a penknife, which he happened to have in his pocket when he was sucked into the game.
2. Nobody has a knife. Fred tries using his trusty wooden sword.
3. Nobody has a knife. Fred is unwilling to try his wooden sword. Will Exotica try a different spell, or should they build a raft?
