As Gloria and Balischo rode away from the station, the Dunchovian noticed
before long that the sorceress seemed to be lost in thought. He did not
dare to disturb her, but after fifteen minuters or so she noticed that he
was looking at her.
She smiled at him. "I'm sorry if I haven't been much of a riding companion so far, but I can't stop thinking about the heptillions. They intrigue me. It's remarkable that no-one really seems to know what they are. They seem to have been dismissed as no more than legends, but I have a feeling that there may be more to them than that. After this mission is over, I'd like to do some investigating. Perhaps your shaman might be able to tell me more about them." "Yes, it's possible that Viani might know something. I'm sure that she would be happy to talk to you when we catch up with my people." If we do, he thought to himself but was too tactful to add out loud.
