Astra Reflects on Reflections

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 89175

Surrounded by a myriad reflections of herself, Astra felt rather dizzy. But then, to her relief, the reflections abruptly disappeared. Had they been no more than a hallucination brought on by stress? She still seemed to have green skin, though.

An alarming thought struck her, which she shared with Velus. "If the reflections were a hallucination, then what else might I have hallucinated? Maybe the clothes and supplies that I've just acquired don't really exist? Even worse, perhaps I'm still chained up, I was never freed by Fred, and everything since has been one long hallucination. Or maybe I'm still in my bedchamber back home and never came to the Northern Caves at all?"

Velus responded with barks to say:

  1. "Steady on, Astra. Don't let your imagination run away with you."
  2. "If those clothes don't really exist, you might as well take them off."
  3. "Maybe I'm just a hallucination as well, in which case I'm not likely to give you good advice."
  4. "Green skin suits you." "So you can see it too. At least that's real then."
