A huge ball of fire passed furiously. It was not only loud and fast-
flowing, it was hot! She felt it all over her naked body as it rushed past.
The glow was unbearable! It was like staring straight into the Sun! Astra closed her eyes, until it had passed. When she felt cold again, she opened her eyes, and saw before her only a pile of ashes and several pieces of armor, glowing red-hot, clumped on the floor. Some of them had even melted partially! Astra didn't know what to do, what to think, what to say. But she didn't need to, for the dragon spoke for her: "Let this be a lesson to you two," said the dragon. "First, you don't mess with magical beings four times your size, and Second, you don't ally yourselves with someone who tries to kill your host. And be happy I'm not doing anything to you two, especially you Velus." Astra and Velus stood there, paralyzed, staring at the dragon. "I said 'happy'! Let's see a smile!" Astra and Velus nervously showed the dragon their pearly whites. "Much better. Keep it that way!" The dragon started to leave. Velus tried to blow a raspberry, but it didn't come out very well because of his noticeable lack of cheeks. "I saw that!" said the dragon. Velus nervously switched back to showing his teeth. "And for the next time, dogs don't blow raspberries. They growl or pee. And don't bare your fangs, panting is much more expressive." When the dragon saw Velus didn't react, he left. Astra dropped the fake smile and breathed deeply once again. Her heart was racing! And poor Fred was... he was... "Oh, Velus," she said, "what are we going to do?"
